The big highlights
The Rijksmuseum is Amsterdam's most important museum and shows Dutch Golden Age painting, above all Rembrandt's Night Watch. The Stedelijk Museum on the Museumplein stands for modern and contemporary art, from Mondrian to Warhol.
To see Amsterdam from the water, use the included canal cruise through the UNESCO-listed canals. Families head to the interactive NEMO Science Museum with its roof terrace above the harbour, or to the historic zoo Artis. At the Museum het Rembrandthuis you stand in the faithfully furnished house and studio where Rembrandt lived and worked for two decades.

Is it worth it?
A few visits already cover the card. The Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum and a canal cruise together cost more than the 24-hour card when paid separately, before free public transport and bike rental are even counted. If you stay several days and visit two or three attractions a day, you clearly recoup the price of the longer options. An overview of the options and today's price is on the Prices page.
Each attraction can be visited once for free. The Van Gogh Museum is not included. Opening hours and seasonal availability can vary, so check with the venue if in doubt.
