What the price includes
Whatever duration you choose, the card covers:
- More than 70 museums and attractions, each free once
- A canal cruise through the UNESCO-listed canals
- Free travel on the GVB network (tram, bus, metro, IJ ferries), details under Public transport
- 24-hour bike rental as well as changing discounts and special offers
Not included are the Van Gogh Museum, NS trains and public transport outside Amsterdam (for example to Haarlem, Zaanse Schans or Volendam).
Which duration is worth it?
For a short city break with two or three museums, the 24-hour card at 67 € is enough. It pays off against single tickets after only a few paid attractions, because the canal cruise, public transport and bike rental come on top.
Longer durations cost much less per day: the 72-hour card (115 €) works out at around 38 € per day, the 120-hour card (140 €) at just 28 € per day, compared with 67 € for the first day. If you stay for a long weekend and visit several attractions every day, the 72-hour card is usually the best choice: it covers public transport and bike rental for the whole stay. The Attractions page shows which venues are included.
